Hat Art Club labels 2017

We hope you are thinking SPRING and painting! Here is the latest news regarding the programs and the information for our bi-annual Hat Art Club show at the Esplanade this year.

-APRIL 14 this Friday (as reported prior) Allan Jensen has arranged a tour of the new
studios in our Culture Centre – starts at 7 p.m. and refreshments included. We hope to
see a good turn out!

-MAY-There are still a few spaces open in the Dean Bauche Workshop MAY 27 & 28. Dean
will work with anyone whether you use oil, acrylic, w/c or pastel. Emphasis on using
colour, composition, design & he will do demos as well! Cost $95.00 members, $115.00
for non. It is a bargain folks, so sign up and pay by cheque only at the Art Club.

– ESPLANADE SHOW INFO: Please bring in your paintings to Art Club MAY 15th you may
enter 4 paintings. Paintings do not need to be framed to be entered. The Jurying will
take place May 25th and you are assured of at least one pc. of art being accepted for the
show, so bring your best! Paintings should be from 2016/2017. Please pick up your paintings on MAY 26th as the Bauche Workshop is on the 27th . You will receive further information about framing your chosen piece(s), after the jury process. Please fill in the labels for your paintings (place on the backs) and fill in the sheet at the Club.

-We have two positions vacant on the Executive for this September. They are:
Facilities Co-ordinator: who will oversee & maintain the room, lockers & shelves etc.
Treasurer: keeps the financial records of the Club. Receives/deposits revenues. Prepares
financial statements and presents financial reports to the Executive.
If you are interested in a position on the Executive we would certainly welcome you!

– AGM will be held Friday JUNE 23rd
at 7 pm. There will be pizza & refreshments so come at 6:30 pm for that.
